User Guide – Checksize V1.0

📦 Key Features

1. ✅ Single Item Verification

Checksize operators can now perform verification and validation of item dimensions from a dedicated tab in the VTO Quality Control module.

Accepted search fields:

  • GlassesID

  • EAN

  • SKU

The system automatically checks:

  • Lens width

  • Bridge width

⚙️ Verification Methods (Algorithms)

Two algorithms are used in Checksize, but the selection is automatic and based on the availability of qualification:

🔹 Classic Checksize

  • Used by default when no qualification is available for the item.

  • Compares the manufacturer’s declared dimensions with those measured directly from the 3D model.

  • Does not account for the bevel.

🔸 Frame Boxing

  • Automatically used when qualification is present.

  • A more precise algorithm, it takes into account:

    • The bevel

    • The qualified areas (either manually entered or extracted during preprocessing)

➡️ In summary: if the item is qualified, Frame Boxing is always applied.

2. 📂 Batch Item Verification

Checksize allows batch validation by uploading a CSV file containing multiple items.

How it works:

  • The CSV file must include item identifiers.

  • Each item is processed using the appropriate algorithm based on qualification presence.

  • Errors or inconsistencies are flagged in the interface.

3. 🔁 Correction and Revalidation of Invalid Items

To streamline the correction workflow:

  • Operators can download the corresponding data4 file for any item marked as invalid.

  • After making corrections, the item can be reuploaded.

  • The system will then automatically revalidate it.
